DHAKA, Aug 10, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Navy personnel today arrested one person with arm and ammunition from Adinath Temple area in Moheshkhali Upazila of Cox's Bazar district.

As part of Navy's patrolling to ensure overall security of public life and properties as well as state's important installations in the current situation, a section of Navy under the leadership of Lt. Commander Syed Ahmed Sakib was patrolling in Thakur Tala Adinath Temple area around 7.30pm today, said an ISPR press release here.

During the patrolling, the naval team was informed that some terrorists attacked the local people near the Adinath Temple.

On receiving information, the patrolling naval team immediately rushed to the spot and arrested an armed terrorist with a home-made arm and two rounds of ammunition while other terrorists managed to escape the scene.

Later, he was handed over to Moheshkhali Police Station.
