JPC hails Dr Yunus for taking charge of interim govt's chief advisor 

DHAKA, Aug 11, 2024 (BSS) - The Jatiya Press Club (JPC) today greeted Chief Adviser Nobel Laureate Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus and other advisers of the interim government.
 
In a meeting the executive committee, the JPC leaders said that Dr Muhammad Yunus is an honorary member of the National Press Club, said a release here today. 

The JPC believes that Bangladesh, under the prudent and dynamic leadership of Nobel peace prize winner renowned economist Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, would be able to return to the right path.

The meeting said the Chief Advisor has already devoted himself to build a new Bangladesh. 

They wished success of his government and said democracy, peace and stability will be restored and a democratic government will be established through a neutral election.

Dr Yunus is pride of Bangladesh, the JPC leaders said and extended congratulations to students, including the coordinators who led the student mass upsurge.

JPC president Hasan Hafiz presided over the meeting while its general secretary Ayub Bhuiyan conducted it, according to the press release.

Committee members Kazi Rownak Hossain, Bakthier Rana, Abdul Hi Shikder, Kader Gani Chowdhury, Shahnaj Begum Poly, Mohammad Momin Hossain, Simanta Khokan and former general secretary Syed Abdal Ahmed, among others, were present.
