DHAKA, Aug 14, 2024 (BSS) - Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed today said the efficient and talented people will be evaluated in each sector of the judiciary.
 
"As we are unelected body, I think we have more responsibilities and accountability to the public in taking all the decisions and conducting activities", the Chief Justice told journalists in a courtesy call with the members of Law Reporters Forum (LRF).

LRF executive body and members greeted the newly appointed Chief Justice with a bouquet of flower.

The activities of all the benches of High Court will be resumed from Sunday, said the Chief justice, adding, "Measures will be taken to give the verdict of each case of all benches immediate after the hearing".
 
About the impeachment or removal of judges, Chief Justice said, "We have some technical issues. The case of sixteenth amendment is still pending before the Appellate Division as a review petition. The issue will be solved after the disposal of the case".
