FENI, Aug 16, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice-Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu today provided Taka one lakh in cash to each family of those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Mintu met, along with local BNP leaders, the family members of the victims who died in student movement in different upazilas of the district and provided financial assistance to them.
He visited the family of Ikram Hossain Kausar, who was killed in the student movement in Dhaka. He paid tributes at Kausar's grave and handed over financial assistance to the family members and he went to Kalirhat in Fulgazi and visited the grave of Istiaq Ahmed Shravan who was killed in Mohipal.
Mintu also visited the graves of victim Md. Sakil, 22, son of Delwar Hossain of Mandari village of Sonagazi Char Majlispur, Sihab Uddin, 21, son of Sirajul Islam of Panchgachia Union of Sadar Upazila, Sarwar Jahan Masud , 21, son of Md. Shahjan of Daganbhuanya North Jailskar Union and paid tribute with flowers.
Former Member of Parliament of Feni-2 Constituency Freedom Fighter Joynal Abedin (VP Joynal), former Member of Parliament of Reserved Women Seat Rehana Akhter Ranu, District BNP Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal, Joint Convener Anwar Hossain Patwari, Sadar BNP Convener Aman Uddin Sabbir and Member Secretary Fazlul Rahman Bakul, among others, were present.
