RAJSHAHI, Aug 17, 2024 (BSS) - All classes of graduation and post-graduation levels in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) will resume on August 24.

Prior to this, all the residential halls will reopen on August 20 (Tuesday), said a RUET press release here this afternoon.

The students have been asked to keep their respective identity cards round the clock in the campus. They were also instructed to remain absent from political activities.

Earlier on August 10, the RUET had imposed a ban on all sorts of politics in its campus until further order.
 
The decision was taken at the 105th meeting of the syndicate, the highest policy-making body of the university, with Vice-chancellor Prof Jahangir Alam in the chair.
 
The release said no teacher, officer and employee will be allowed to remain engaged in any political organization and disciplinary action will be taken against those who will be found guilty of violating the decision.
 
It also said that restriction has been imposed on all sorts of students' politics in the campus and disciplinary action will be taken against those who will be found guilty of disobeying the order.
