DHAKA, Aug 18, 2024 (BSS) - Newly appointed Home and Agriculture Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today urged the officials to work with maintaining professionalism and abiding by laws.

He made the call while exchanging views with officials of the Home Ministry at the ministry's conference room at Bangladesh Secretariat here, said a press release.

Jahangir Alam said there can be mistake while working, but actions will be taken if intentional mistakes are committed.

He called upon all the officials to work in unison with sincerity.
Issues of those officials who were truly deprived will be considered but the if anyone is deprived for being involved in corruption, his or her matter will not be taken into cognizance.

Security Services Division Senior Secretary Md. Mashiur Rahman, Public Security Division's newly appointed Secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen, Public Security Division's outgoing Senior Secretary Md Mokabbir Hossain, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam and heads of difference offices and organizations under the Home Affairs Ministry and officials of different levels of the ministry were present.

Earlier, senior officials of the Home Ministry welcomed the newly appointed Home and Agriculture Adviser upon his arrival at the ministry. Later, a guard of honor was given to him.
