DHAKA, Aug 23, 2024 (BSS) - Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has directed 33 airlines operating through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) to reissue or rebook tickets at free of charge for passengers who miss their flights due to the ongoing floods affecting the country.
 
 In a letter to the airlines, HSIA's Executive Director Group Captain Md. Kamrul Islam said many passengers are having difficulties in reaching the airport due to the current flood situation in the country.
 
 In this context, he said, airlines have been requested to assist their passengers to provide free ticket changes for passengers from flood-affected areas.
 
 Additionally, the airlines have also been asked to ensure 24-hour passenger service.
