SOLINGEN, Germany, Aug 24, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - German police said they were still searching on Saturday for the perpetrator of a knife attack in the western city of Solingen that killed three people and severely wounded five others at a festival the night before.

"Both victims and witnesses are currently being questioned," police in the nearby city of Duesseldorf said in a statement early Saturday, adding that "a large contingent" of police were searching for the suspect.
