DHAKA, Aug 26, 2024 (BSS) – The government has  informed about the method of purifying drinking water in the flood affected areas, saying that safe drinking water can be easily prepared by using water purification tablets- Aquatabs (33 mg troclosene sodium).

Describing the method, an official handout said, first take 5 liters of water and strain it with a cotton cloth.

Then mix one water purification tablet with water while the water will be drinkable after 30 minutes, it said, issuing a caution that the water purification tablet should never be consumed directly.

The handout said the Department of Public Health Engineering of the Local Government Department issued this instruction today to protect the flood victims from water-borne diseases.
