CHATTOGRAM, Aug 28, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chattogram city unit announced a five-day program, including a rally and a discussion, marking its 46th founding anniversary on September 1.
City BNP convener Ershad Ullah announced the program after a preparatory meeting in front of party office at Nasiman Bhaban in city’s Kazir Dewari area on Tuesday afternoon.
As part of the programmes, BNP leaders and activists will visit Shaheed Zia's grave at Rangunia at 11 am on Saturday.
Fateha will be offered and wreaths will be placed at the first grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at Rangunia. A discussion meeting will be held at Kazir Dewari International Convention Hall at 3 pm.
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury will address the function as the chief guest.
Besides, national and party flags will be hoisted at the offices of 43 wards of Chattogram City Corporation in the morning and speeches of Shahid Zia and Begum Khaleda Zia will broadcast on the microphone.
A colorful rally will also be brought out from in front of the party office at the Nasiman Bhaban on Monday.
A Doa and Milad Mahfil will be organized on Tuesday (Sept 3) for eternal peace of those who had been died and injured in the last 15 years in the movement and the recent flood affected people. Doa and Milad Mahfil will also offered at the mosques of 43 wards CCC.
City BNP Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman and leaders of 41 ward of CCC, among others, attended the preparatory meeting.
