DHAKA, Aug 28, 2024 (BSS) – Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam today urged the ministry officials to complete all the projects, which have been taken under the ministry, in due time.

“All-out efforts must be given to complete all the projects which have already been undertaken, within stipulated timeframe”, said Nahid while addressing as the chief guest at the implementation progress review meeting of the annual development programmes of the 2024-25 fiscal at the ministry’s meeting room.

Nahid said the thought has been rooted in people’s mind that the government projects are the hub of corruption and irregularities as most of the allegations of corruption and irregularities come centering the projects.

Directives have already been given to the information secretary to conduct investigation on all the previous and ongoing projects against which allegations of corruption or irregularities have already been received.

“There have been talks about some unnecessary projects which actually seem to take to do corruption”, Nahid said, calling upon the ministry officials to be more aware of ensuring transparency and not taking any kind of unnecessary projects.

Information Secretary and heads of departments under the ministry, and officials were present at the meeting.
