DHAKA, Aug 29, 2024 (BSS) – Officials and employees of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and different organizations under it have donated Taka 33,83,393 to support the people affected by the severe floods.

On behalf of the ministry, the officials today handed over 15 cheques of the amount, which was equivalent to one day's salary, to Adviser Md Nahid Islam, said a press release.

It is mentionable that with the interest of the officials and employees of the ministry, on August 25, a decision was taken to provide assistance to the flood victims by donating their one day's salary.

Besides, leaders of the BCS Information Association also today handed over a cheque of Taka 3 lakh to the adviser for the flood victims.

BCS Information Association President Md Zasim Uddin and General Secretary Md Shiplu Zaman were present on the occasion, among others.
