RANGPUR, Oct 3, 2021 (BSS) - Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed today said Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina has shown the world her able leadership by making the dreams of 170 million people of the country true.

  "The Prime Minister is always turning the impossible into possible for the welfare of people. She has introduced a once unknown country to the whole world as an emerging nation through massive developments," he said.

  The minister said this while distributing cheques of Taka 18,000 to each of the 80 marginalized people to improve their living standard in a function held at Kaliganj upazila parishad hall room in Lalmonirhat today as the chief guest.

   He also inaugurated newly built buildings of 13 government primary schools in the function organised by Kaliganj Upazila Office of the Department of Social Services.

  Later, he talked to local journalists.

  The social welfare minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to improve the living standards of marginalized people so that people of any backward community are not deprived of their rights.

  He said there was a time when there were many unpaved roads in Lalmonirhat district.

  "All of those roads have been paved now in rural areas across the district transforming villages into towns. But, BNP is not looking at these incredible developments with good eyes," the Minister said.

  "BNP is hatching conspiracies all the time. But, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been able to change the fate of 170 million people through continuous developments by resisting the conspiracies," he said.

  Common people are involved in every activity of the present government. It is never possible to build a developed country without the cooperation of people.

  "So, common people should always stay with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the way to build a developed Bangladesh under her leadership," he added.

  Divisional Director of Rangpur Divisional Social Service Office Abdul Motaleb Sarkar, its Additional Director Md Mossarraf Hossain, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdul Mannan and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Israt Jahan Shumi attended the function.
