DHAKA, Sept 1, 2024 (BSS) – C.P Bangladesh Company Limited has donated Taka 40 lakh to the Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund for the flood affected people in the country’s south-eastern region.
Chairman of the company Suchat Suntipada handed over a cheque of the amount to Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Adviser AF Hassan Ariff at his office in the secretariat here today, said a press release.
The company provided the money from its relief fund and one-day salary of the all officials and employees working in the company.
Speaking on the occasion Adviser Hassan Ariff urged the private companies like C.P Bangladesh to come forward to address the consequences after the floods.
On behalf of C.P Bangladesh, Supot Thadajun, Akram Hossain, Syed Jabrad Barki and Sohel Rana were present on the occasion, among others.
C.P Bangladesh, a sister concern of Bangkok based Thailand’s largest private initiative C.P Group started working in Bangladesh’s agriculture sector and poultry industry since 1988.
