GAIBANDHA, Sept 2, 2024 (BSS) - A youth was arrested from the Bus stand area in the district town this morning for his alleged involvement in the attack carried out on the doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Saturday. 
 
The arrested was identified as Sanjay Pal Joy, 25, son of Ranjit Das, a resident of Masterpara of the district town. 
 
Masud Rana, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, told BSS that a team of police conducted a raid in Bus stand area and arrested Sanjay. 
 
On Saturday, doctors of the DMCH were assaulted and the emergency department was vandalized by some agitated people. 
 
On Sunday, a case was filed with Shahbagh police station against a teacher and three students from the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and 40-50 unidentified people over the attack and vandalism.
