DHAKA, Sept 2, 2024 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik today, on behalf of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, received cheques of Taka 8,15,80,149 from different organizations, individuals and institutions for the flood victims at his ministry office this afternoon. 

The adviser thanked the individuals and institutions for standing by the flood victims, said a ministry press release.
 
Of the organisations, Madhumati Bank provided Tk 59,50,153, Asian Regency gave Tk 3,92,683, Panna Battery Limited donated Tk 25 lakh, Novel Hurricane Knit Garments Limited Tk 20 lakh, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC 1.50 crore, Infrastructure Development Company Limited TK 15,33,714, Pubali Bank PLC TK 5 crore, Sylhet Agriculture University TK 8,62,474, Action Aid TK 10 lakh, MEP Group TK 10 lakh, Child Foundation TK 1.50 lakh, Niki Thai Aluminum TK 3,32,365, Handa Textile Limited TK 2,21,772, Financial Express Tk 1,36,988, and Kahna Nazel TK 5 lakh.
