DHAKA, Sept 5, 2024 (BSS) - Two people, including a woman, were killed in two separate road accidents in the capital, said a press release.

The deceased were identified as security guard Md Monir Hossain, 23, an inhabitant of Mymensingh district and Josna Begum, 69.

The releases said Monir Hossain was killed as a truck crushed his bicycle yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon in Uttara area when he was returning to Tongi riding the bicycle. He died while under treatment at Dhaka Medical College last evening. 

Besides, Josna Begum died as a bus hit her when she was crossing the road at Jurain in Jatrabari midnight last night. She breathed her last at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

In charge of Dhaka Medical College police camp Md Faruk said the bodies were sent to morgue for autopsy.
