DHAKA, Sept 16, 2024 (BSS) - Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain today said there is no alternative to practice the ideology of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) to build a non-communal and discrimination free society.
“If we want to build a discrimination free country, we have to follow the ideology of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). We have to practice ideology and teaching of the Prophet in our personal life and also at family, society and state level to ensure justice and communal harmony,” said Khalid Hossain while speaking at a discussion and doa mahfil at the Jatiya Press Club on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
Jatiya Press Club (JPC) organized the discussion with its president Hasan Hafiz in the chair. JPC general secretary Ayub Bhuiyan, JPC’s former president Shawkat Mahmud, former general secretary Syed Abdal Ahmed, BFUJ’s former president M Abdullah and Dhaka Reporters’ Unity’s former president Mursalin Nomani took part in the discussion.
In his speech Khalid Hossain said the present interim government has been working to normalize the law and order situation in the country. With restoration of the law and order and after carrying out some institutional and economic reforms, steps will be taken to hold national election through forming a neutral Election Commission, he added.
He said the election will be held in a free, fair, neutral and participatory manner so that people can cast their votes freely. The interim government will hand over power to the elected government, he added.
