RAJSHAHI, Sept 17, 2024 (BSS) - Rajshahi University (RU) has provided Taka 46 lakh to the relief and welfare fund of the Chief Adviser for assisting the people badly affected by the recent flood.

The money was collected from one-day salaries of RU teachers, officers and employees, said a press release sent from RU Public Relation Office here this afternoon.

On behalf of the RU, Treasurer Prof Obayedur Rahman Pramanik handed over the money to the Adviser of the interim government for the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Faruque-E-Azam on Sunday last.

Director of Accounts Prof Nirjhar Rahman and other officials concerned were present on the occasion, the release added.
