DHAKA, Sept 18, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind in all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours from 9 am today.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy falls at some places over the country," it said.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhatof Rangpur division while today's minimum temperature was 24.6 degrees Celsius in Tetulia of Rangpur division.

Rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded 03 mm in Cumilla of Chattogram Division.

The sun sets at 5:58pm today and rises at 5:46 am tomorrow in the capital.
