LAXMIPUR, Sept 18, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie has called upon all to extend wholehearted cooperation to the interim government to establish a government of the people.  
 
“Help the interim government to create an environment conducive to democracy to establish a government of the people,” he said while inaugurating a free medical camp at Rajapur under Dighali union of Sadar Upazila here, this afternoon.
    
The BNP leader said the next general election would be held after bringing required reforms to the state and the people of the government would be established through the election.
 
“The (next) government would be formed through a fair voting,” he hoped.
    
He reminded his party leaders and activists that the struggle for establishing the democracy and voting rights have yet been accomplished, saying, “So, stay alert. Trial of the enforced disappearances, killings and lootings in the last 15 years must be held.”

The medical camp provided free treatment and distributed relief to over 600 flood-affected people.    

Laxmipur district Chhatra Dal president Hasan Mahmud Ibrahim and Chandraganj Thana Chhatra Dal president Jahangir Hossain, among others, were present.
