DHAKA, Sept 19, 2024 (BSS) - Police arrested Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) assistant professor Dr Md Hasanul Haque Nipun from Gazipur district this evening on charges of carrying out attack on the anti-discrimination student movement at Shahbagh in the capital city.

"We arrested Dr Nipun from Gazipur metro area around 6pm today," Deputy Commissioner of media and public relations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Talebur Rahman told BSS.

Nipun was arrested in a case filed with Shahbagh Police Station, he said.
