Islami Andolan for resisting all anti-state plots with iron hand

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2024 (BSS) – Amir of the Islamic Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Charmonai Pir, today urged the interim government and countrymen as well to resist all sorts of anti-state conspiracies with an iron hand.

"A deep-rooted conspiracy is going on against our dear motherland Bangladesh . . . The Interim Government must resist all anti-state plots with an iron hand,” he said while addressing a public rally at Pallabi here.

Since the deposed autocratic government fled from the country, he said conspiracies are being hatched by Sheikh Hasina and Indian quarters to make the Interim Government ineffective.

Charmonai Pir said the excuse of minority torture, judicial coup, movement of government officials and employees, Ansar and VDP movement, non-cooperation of the police and the provocative words of ‘so-called’ some elites are nothing but part of an attempt to destabilize the government.

“The seeds of unrest in the hilly region must be rooted out at any cost . . . There will be no concession in this connection at all,” the IAB Amir categorically said.

He demanded the government to take strict action against the employees of the administration who are yet to join the office and the ghosts of the fallen government’s syndicates in essential commodities market.

About law and order, he requested the government to take effective measurers to improve the existing law and order across the country.

Referring to the terrorist incidents in the Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT), Mufti Rezaul Karim said the fallen quarter is trying to destabilize the country by capitalizing minor incidents like motorcycle theft in Chattogram.

Charmonai Pir further demanded the authorities concerned to ensure the trial of the perpetrators involved in committing genocide during recent students-people movement, arrest of the corrupt individuals, confiscate their illegal assets and disqualify them for contesting the next polls.

Among others, Senior IAB leaders also spoke on the occasion.
