DHAKA, Sept 24, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested another death row convict who recently fled from Kashimpur High Security Central Jail in Gazipur. 

A squad of the RAB arrested Sohel Rana from Satmail area of Barishal district, said a message of RAB media and legal wing.   

With Sohel Rana, the RAB arrested three death penalty awarded accused who fled the jail in the recent jail break attempt.   

The RAB earlier arrested two death row convicts, Shah Alam and Firoz Mia, from Kishoreganj Sadar and Dhaka’s Dhamrai areas on Friday and Sunday. Both fled from the Kashimpur High Security Central Jail.    

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) legal and media wing director Lt Col Md Munim Ferdous earlier told BSS that they are in hot pursuit to apprehend the death row and life term awarded convicts, who fled from various jails in recent attempts of prison break.
