DHAKA, Sept 24, 2024 (BSS) - Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal has been made a member of the Enrollment Committee of Bangladesh Bar Council.

The decision was taken in a meeting today with Bar Council Chairman and Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman in the chair.

Senior Advocate Syed Rezaur Rahman has been replaced by Supreme Court senior lawyer Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal in the five-member enrollment committee. 

Supreme Court’s Appellate Division Justice Md. Ashfaqul Islam is the current chairman of committee while other members are Justice Md. Ruhul Quddus and Justice Abu Taher Md. Saifur Rahman of the High Court and Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman.

Syed Rezaur Rahman has been replaced as he stopped communication with the Bar Council.

The Supreme Court Bar Association’s elected secretary Ruhul Quddus Kazal was elected member of the Bar Council in the last polls bagging massive votes of lawyers from across the country.

The Enrollment Committee is a very important one among different committees of Bangladesh Bar Council as it looks after enrollment of the advocates.
