DHAKA, Sept 24, 2024 (BSS) - News editor of Dainik Khobor Sanat Nandy passed away while undergoing treatment at BIRDEM Hospital in the capital last night.

He was 72.

Sanat Nandy left behind his wife, a son, relatives and a host of well-wishers and admirers to mourn his death.

The journalist was suffering from different ailments including kidney disease for long, family sources said.
 
He was cremated at Postogola crematorium at 11 am today (Tuesday).

Jatiya Press Club President Poet Hasan Hafiz and General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Sanat Nandy.

In a condolence message, they prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
