DHAKA, Sept 25, 2024 (BSS) - The leaders of Bangladesh Newspapers Employees Federation (BNEF) and Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers (BFUNPW) today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalist (BFUJ) president Ruhul Amin Gazi.

In a joint condolence message, they said Gazi was a veteran journalist leader. His demise has created an irreparable loss in the journalism arena, they said.

They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, said a press release.

The leaders also joined the namaz-e-janaza of Gazi held at the National Press Club.

BNEF president Md Matiur Rahman Talukder, secretary general Md Khairul Islam, BFUNPW president Md Alamgir Hossain, secretary general Moshtaq Ahmed, executive members Md Ali Khan Apu, Maksudul Ahsan and Md Faruque Bhuiyan, among others, attended the janaza.
