DHAKA, Sept 25, 2024 (BSS) – The family members of Shaheed Miraj Hossain and Shaheed Md. Ismail Hossain Rabi, who were killed in the student-people uprising, today met Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Adviser Md. Nahid Islam at the latter’s office in the  secretariat.  

In the meeting, Shaheed Miraj's father broke down in tears while recounting the death of his son on August 5. He broke down in tears while showing his son's blood-stained shirt to the adviser, creating a highly emotional atmosphere.

At that time, Nahid Islam, also the Adviser of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, hugged Miraj's father and consoled him. 

Besides, Shaheed Ismail Hossain Rabbi's sister said they could not file a case as they failed to get the death certificate of her brother from the hospital. She asked the help of the adviser in this regard. 

The Adviser assured her to provide any type of cooperation as she sought his intervention to include her brother's name in the list of martyrs.

Nahid Islam said that names of all the martyrs and injured will be included in the list, and this works would be easier after the establishment of the office of July Martyrs Memorial Foundation.
