DHAKA, Sept 26, 2024 (BSS)- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has so far destroyed 8875 mosquito breeding places and served notices to 240 households for finding larva at their premises.

Under the mosquito control special campaign of the DNCC, they visited 1,21,886 houses during the week long campaign from September 19.

The week-long programme was supervised by senior officials of the Local Government and Rural Development Division.
 
Apart from this, larviciding and fogging activities along with various awareness programmes were conducted.

They distributed leaflets, organized rallies and visited house-to-house to destroy the Aedes breeding grounds.

Aedes larvas were found in 351 houses and 8,275 mosquito breeding sites were destroyed during the campaign.
