DHAKA, Sept 30, 2024 (BSS)- Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has unearthed the mystery surrounding the murder of five-year-old child Mosha Tasnia Khatun at Jessore's Bagharpara and arrested three  persons in this connection.

A PBI release today said the arrestees are- Ishita Akhter Ritu (19), Md Tahidur Rahman (55) and Niru Begum (42).

They are residents of Srirampur village under Bagharpara upazila of Jessore district.

Tasnia, 5, daughter of Rajibul Islam of Sreerampur was killed on July 20 last. Her body was recovered from a pond near their house next day.
   
Police said, the post-mortem report mentioned that Tasnia  was strangulated to death and she was sexually abused before the killing.

Accused Ishita Akhtar Ritu confessed her involvement in the killing and abusing Tasnia  sexulaly.
