DHAKA, Oct 1, 2024 (BSS) - Detective police today arrested former lawmaker Abdullah Al Jacob from city's Gulshan area.

"Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Jacob this morning in a case filed with Savar police station", said Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media and public relations department) of the DMP.

Jacob has been taken to DB office, he said.

Jacob became parliament member from Bhola-4 constituency with Awami League (AL) ticket.
