CHATTOGRAM, Oct 2, 2024 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to re-investigate the attacking on BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's convoy case in Chattogram in 2017.
 
A group of Chhatra League-Jubo League terrorists attacked Mirza Fakhrul's convoy at Ichakhali Bazaar of Rangunia Upazila on June 18, 2017 while he was going to visit landslide victims in Rangamati.
 
Six leaders including Mirza Fakhrul and party's standing committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury were injured in the attack as the terrorists vandalized their cars. Advocate Enamul Haque, former president of the Chattogram District Bar Association, filed a case before Chattogram court two days later.
 
Afterward, police gave final report before the court as the charges brought against the accused could not proved and the court dismissed the case.
 
Additional District and Sessions Judge Jinnat Ara Begum allowed to re-investigate the case after the hearing today.
