DHAKA, Oct 3, 2024 (BSS) – A case was filed today against 26 people including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina over the killing of rickshaw puller Moniruzzaman Moni in the capital’s Fulbaria area during the recent anti-discrimination student movement.

The other prominent accused in the case are -Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Habibur Rahman and Harun Ur Rashid.

Victim’s sister Nilufer Yasmin filed complaint at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Akteruzzaman, over the killing of her brother. The court after recording statement of the complainant, ordered Shahbagh Police Station to file the matter as first information report (FIR).

Rickshaw puller Moni got shot and killed in Fulbaria area on August 5.
