DHAKA, Oct 3, 2024 (BSS) –Brig Gen Muhammad Jahed Kamal today took charge as the Director General (DG) of the Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense (DFCD). 

He succeeded to Brig Gen Md Main Uddin who officially handed over the charge to the new DG at a programme held at the FSCD headquarters. 

Officers and employees of all levels of the department were present on the occasion. 

On September 23, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification  appointing BUP Research Centre Dean Brig Gen Muhammad Jahed Kamal as DG of the Fire Service.
