Tarique Rahman takes education responsibility of martyr Masud’s daughter Arobi: Rizvi

DHAKA, Oct 3, 2024 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General and “Amra BNP Paribar” chief adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today said resurgence of fascist force did not happen in the world and it would not be in Bangladesh as well.

“Any fascist force which is ousted in mass upsurge could not get establishment socially in any country in the world. Democracy-loving people in anywhere including Italy and Germany didn’t allow fascist force to get rebirth,” he said.

He said those who killed children of their own country have no rights to do politics. If the fascist force takes rebirth, they will indiscriminately kill those who have lost eyes and other organs, and became crippled in the students-led mass movement, he said.

Rizvi said this while briefing journalists after talking to families of Shaheed Tahmid, a student of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, and Shaheed Masud Rana, who were killed in mass-upsurge, in the capital’s Mirpur area.

On behalf of BNP Acting Chairman and “Amra BNP Paribar” Chief Patron Deshnayok Tarique Rahman, financial assistance was provided to both the families of the martyrs.

“Amra BNP Paribar” cell leaders assured the family of Shaheed Masud Rana that Tarique Rahman has taken the education responsibility of Masud’s daughter Arobi Ferdous.

The cell’s Adviser Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon, local BNP leader Bazlul Basit Anju, Jubo Dal leader Shakil Mollah, “Amra BNP Paribar” Member Secretary agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun, members Mustakim Billah, Shahadat Hossain, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal central vice-president Habibul Bashar and Joint General Secretary Hasnain Nahian Sajib were present, among others.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said if Sheikh Hasina’s fascist force takes rebirth, it will again launch lethal mission against those who were vocal for democracy and those who were victims of enforced disappearance and false cases.

Rizvi said Shaheed Masud Rana was only breadwinner of his family. His wife and daughter became helpless losing him, he added.

About Shaheed Tahmid, he said martyred BUBT student Tahmid could get job after completion of his education. Tahmid, who came from a low-income family, bought democracy with blood, he added.

The BNP leader urged Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus to provide government jobs to eligible family members of the martyrs as per their educational qualification.

About wrongdoings of cohorts of the dictator, Rizvi said Samabaya Bank former Chairman-Awami League’s Dhaka City South unit joint general secretary Mohiuddin Ahmed sold 7,398 bhori of gold which were deposited or mortgaged by general clients, with fake ownership records.

Sheikh Hasina had given license of looting, wrongdoing and injustice, he mentioned.

“Sheikh Hasina was not a prime minister rather the chief of the syndicates of robbers and mafias,” said Rizvi.

The BNP leader said individuals in police and civil administrations, who got blessings of Sheikh Hasina, became owners of hundreds of crores of Taka.

He said it is unfortunate that different allegations are being made against those who are running the administration now.

If the present interim government is called a government of revolution, then how the corrupt and money looters are still staying in administration, he questioned.

Rizvi said ultra wealthy population was created in Bangladesh between 2014 and 2017 compared to other countries in the world.

“Who are they?” he said, adding that those who looted money from different sectors including power sector, mega projects and share market became ultra rich.

Such people are still holding different positions, he added.

Rizvi said the people don’t want resurgence of fascism anymore.

The people want to know whether autocrat Hasina regime signed any uneven treaty with any country, he said and urged the interim government to unearth such agreements before the people.

Rizvi also called upon the interim government to hold elections soon after making required reforms.
