DHAKA, Oct 4, 2024 (BSS) - Police arrested Bangladesh Krishak League (BKL) central committee president Samir Chandra and Jashore district Awami League (AL) president and former lawmaker of Jashore Sadar constituency Sahidul Islam Milon from the capital city early today and Thursday night.

"Police rounded up Samir Chandra from the city's Badda area at 12.10am today and Milon from Fulbaria area near Gulishtan at 10pm on Thursday," Md Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the detective branch (DB) of police of Dhaka Metropolitan (DMP) told BSS.

Both of them were wanted in several criminal cases relating to killings and attacks on the student-people movement in July-August, he said.
