DHAKA, Oct 5, 2024 (BSS) - Gonoforum's founder and emeritus president Dr Kamal Hossain today mourned the death of former president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury.

In a condolence message, Dr Kamal said, “We’ve worked together with AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, a veteran politician and also founding president of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh, in establishing democracy, justice, and voting rights.”

Mentioning that Badruddoza Chowdhury's positive stance and role in Bangladesh’s politics will be remembered, he said, “I’ve always got him by our side in the united movement to face the national crisis and to establish healthy politics.”

Dr Kamal noted that the nation has lost a talented and patriotic politician at his death. 

He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

Prof Badruddoza Chowdhury passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital in the early hours of today at the age of 94.

He breathed his last at 3.15am at Uttara Women Medical College Hospital in Dhaka, his press secretary Jahangir Alam said.
