TUNGIPARA, Oct 06, 2024 (BSS) - Organsiing Secretary of Tungipara upazila Awami League Toifiq Biswas was sent o jail today in a case filed over the murder of Secha Sebok Dal leader Showkot Ali Didar.

Officer-in-Charge of Sadar police station Mir Mohammad Shajedur Rahman said he was sent to jail by a court order this noon. Toufiq Biswas was arrested by the Detective Branch of police from Patgati Bazar area last night.

Central Secha Sebok Dal leader Showkot Ali Didar was murdered in Gopalganj sadar upazila on September 13. On September 17, his wife filed a murder case accusing 117 named and 1,500 unnamed people.
