DHAKA, Oct 6, 2024 (BSS) - Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader today urged his party leaders and activists to stand beside flood-hit people of the country.
"In people's sufferings, Jatiya Party does not sit ideally," said a press release quoted him as saying.
He also called upon his party men to assist the government in relief activities.
JaPa Chairman has expressed deep concern over the loss of lives and the indescribable suffering of millions of people due to floods caused by heavy rains in the northern part of the country.
He also sought eternal peace for the departed souls of the deceased, conveying deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
He also called for sending emergency relief assistance to flood-affected areas at the earliest possible time as vast areas of Mymensingh, Sherpur and Kurigram districts were submerged in floodwater, leaving millions of people marooned.
