DHAKA, Oct 9, 2024 (BSS) - The chairmen of the six commissions recently constituted to reform the public administration, Anti-Corruption Commission, judiciary, police, the electoral system and the constitution would  get the status, salary- allowance and other benefits like the justices of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC).

The cabinet division today issued a gazette notification to this end.

Other members of the commissions who are not engaged in the services of the republic would get TK  10,000 as honorarium    while the members are in the service of the republic would get TK 5000 as honorarium for taking part in every meeting of the commissions, the circular said.

But, there is a condition, if the commission chairman or any member wishes to perform their duties as unpaid or does not wish to accept privileges, the honourable Chief Adviser to the Interim Government may approve it.

It will be effective immediately, the notification said .
