NARAYANGANJ, Oct 10, 2024 (BSS) - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam today said that the present government had initiated the process to investigate into the Twaki Murder case anew to bring the culprits to book.       

“The investigation process of Twaki murder case was halted during the previous government. Now, the investigation process of the gruesome murder case is on progress,” he said while visiting the Ramakrishna Mission Puja Mandap in Mission para in the district.

He said many people living in Narayanganj, including the so-called godfather, tried to make it as a ground of terrorism.

In this connection, he mentioned that the investigation process of Sagar-Runi murder case has been started. He sought everyone's cooperation to bring all criminals to book.

RAB-11 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Tanvir Mahmud Pasha, Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratyush Kumar Majumder, former Director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Businessman Prabir Kumar Saha, Convener of Mahanagar BNP Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan, its Member Secretary Advocate Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu and General Secretary of Narayanganj Zilla Puja Uthjapon Parishad Sikhan Sarkar Shipan were present, among others, on the occasion.
