DHAKA, Oct 12, 2024 (BSS) - As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic
system under control, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division
has filed a total of 838 cases and realized Taka 37,94,500 as fine in a
single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
According to a DMP press release issued here today, the DMP Traffic Division
has filed those cases and realized the fines on October 11 through regular
drive against traffic rules breakers.
During the drive, a total of 157 vehicles were dumped and 82 others motor
vehicles towed, the release added.
The DMP release further said that these drives against traffic rule breakers
will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets.
The DMP traffic division has been working to bring the traffic system under
smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
