DHAKA, Oct 12, 2024 (BSS) –  Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), today announced to stand beside Imran who suffered severe injuries during the anti-discrimination student movement.

JCD General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir made the announcement while visiting injured Imran, who is now undergoing treatment at national Ophthalmology Institute and Hospital at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. 

 “We came here to see Imran at the directive of BNP’s acting chairman Deshnayak Tarique Rahman. The BNP family will bear his all treatment expenditure. JCD will stand beside him as a family,” said the JCD general secretary.

 Nasir Uddin Nasir declared financial support on behalf of Tarique Rahman, adding that all expenditures will be bore for his rehabilitation also.”

The JCD vice-president Dr Awal, joint general secretary Dr Akash, assistant general secretaries Dr Nibir and Md Rahat Hossain, president and general secretary of JCD’s Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College unit Dr Shoikat and Dr Imran were present.

The JCD general secretary said that the interim government could not ensure quick treatment for those who were injured during the students-people uprising. “But we will ensure your treatment and rehabilitation on behalf of the party. The JCD will stand beside you forever following our humanitarian leader Tarique Rahman’s instructions,” he added. 

 “I’ve already spent Taka 50,000, which I saved, for treatment purpose. I can’t say anything that how I can bear the rest of my treatment expenses. Visitors have given me a few amount of money for treatment which is not enough. There is no scope for me to earn money,” said injured Imran.
