DHAKA, Oct 12, 2024 (BSS) – Senior Secretary of Public Division of the President's Office Nasimul Ghani today held an view exchanging meeting with the Deans, Chairmen and Heads of Departments of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) at its conference room of the administration building.

JUST Vice-Chancellor (VC) Md Abdul Majid presided over the meeting, said a press release.

At the beginning of the meeting, the VC highlighted the contribution of senior secretary Nasimul Ghani and senior journalist Harun Jamil in establishing the university.

Jashore Deputy Commissioner Md Azharul Islam was also present there, the release added.

Speaking as chief guest, Nasimul Ghani said that a university like JUST, located in a remote area, has secured a position between 801 and 1000 in the world university ranking list. 

"It is a matter of proud," he said and urged the students-teachers to work together to uphold the position by carrying out academic and research activities properly. 

He assured the university authorities of providing assistance and support about the acquisition of more land for the expansion of the university.
