DHAKA, Oct 14, 2024 (BSS)– The Home Ministry has warned taking legal action against those involved in filing false murder case against any individual with an evil motive of extortion, harassment and blackmailing.
 
The Home Ministry today issued a precautionary notification against those who are out to file such cases.

“Criminals cases including lawsuits on charge of murder  are being filed against many persons aimed at realizing extortion, blackmailing and harassment. Filing of such motivated cases is criminal offence under the country’s existing law,” the notification said.
 
The Home Ministry said it has asked the law enforcement agencies to take legal action against those persons who are involved in such misdeeds.

The ministry also asked the all to dial national emergency service 999 to inform the law enforcement agencies of any such ill-motivated persons.
