DHAKA, Oct 14, 2024 (BSS)- Md. Rafiqul Islam Panna, Deputy Director of Public Relations Office of Dhaka University has been appointed as the Acting Director of the same office.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan appointed him as the acting director of DU PR Office today, said a press release.

Panna worked at the Daily Dinkal as Dhaka University Reporter during his student life. Later, he served the same daily as Staff Reporter for few years before joining DU Public Relations Office in 2004 as a Section Officer.

Rafiqul Islam was former member of Dhaka University Journalist’s Association (DUJA), Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ).

He hails from village Harabhanga of Gangni upzilla under Meherpur District.
