DHAKA, Oct 15,2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted that rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places across the country for the next 24 hours till tomorrow morning.

"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions", said the forecast begins from 9am today.

The low pressure area over Southeast Bay and adjoining area now lies as a well marked low over Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay. Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 35.0 degree Celsius jointly at Cox's Bazar, Khulna and Mongla while the minimum temperature recorded 23.3 degree Celsius at Tetulia.

Highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 02 millimeters (mm) at Dinajpur.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The sun sets today at 05-32 PM and rises tomorrow at 05-57 AM in the capital.
