DHAKA, Oct 15, 2024 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1131 cases and realized Taka 47,12,500 as fine in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The cases were filed and fines imposed on October 14, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), shared the information in a media release here today.

During the drive, a total of 223 vehicles were impounded and 68 others towed.

The DMP information further said these drives will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP has been conducting campaigns against traffic rules breakers to bring the traffic system under control.
