DHAKA, Oct 15, 2024 (BSS) - Barishal Education Board has witnessed 81.85 percent pass rate in this year's HSC examinations.

A total of 66,087 students, including 31,993 male and 34,094 female, appeared in the HSC exams under the board while a total of 54,089 students have passed the examination, according to the HSC results published here today.

Of the total successful students, 4,167, including 1,363 male and 2,804 female students, got the highest grade point average -5 (GPA-5).

The pass rates in the other education boards are 93.40 percent in Madrasa Education Board, 88.09 percent in Technical Education Board, 85.39 percent in Sylhet Board, 81.24 percent in Rajshahi Board, 79.21 percent in Dhaka Board, 77.56 percent in Dinajpur Board, 71.15 percent in Cumilla Board, 70.32 percent in Chattogram Board, 64.29 percent in Jashore Board and 63.22 percent in Mymensingh Board.

On an average, 77.78 percent of the examinees passed in the HSC and equivalent examinations held under 11 education boards of the country this year with 1,45,911 candidates getting GPA-5 (maximum grade point average) while the pass rate of the HSC exams in nine general boards is 75.56 percent.

Out of 13, 31,058 examinees, 10,35,309 students have been successful in the HSC and equivalent examinations.
