DHAKA, Oct 16, 2024 (BSS) - The government has transferred 10 Additional Inspectors General of Police (Addl-IGP) to new positions.

Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary Abu Sayied in this regard here today.

According to the notification, Addl IGP Md Matiur Rahman Sheikh was transferred to Criminal Investigation Department CID), Addl IGP Md Alamgir Alam to Police Headquarters, Addl IGP Sardar Tamij Uddin Ahmed to Railway Police, Addl IGP Md Delwar Hossain Miah to Highway Police, Addl IGP Md Abdullah Al Mahmud to Armed Police Battalion, Dhaka, Addl IGP (Supernumerary) Golam Kibria to Police Headquarters, Addl IGP Selim Md Jahangir to Police Headquarters, Addl IGP Moha Abdul Alim Mahmud to Police Headquarters, Addl IGP Md Towfiq Mahbub Chowdhury to Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), and Addl IGP (Supernumerary) Kusum Dewan to River Police.

It said that the order, published for the interest of people, will be effective immediately.
